(2:12) About the Cliffs of Moher Coastal Walk
The Cliffs of Moher Coastal Walk route began in 2014. 29 farmers gave land access along the cliffs edge for the trail.
The full walk from the village of Doolin to Hags Head (or Kilconnel) is 12 kilometers (appx 7.45 miles).
Kilconnel to the Cliffs of Moher Visitor Center is 5k, fairly flat, and takes approximately 1.5 hours to walk.
The Cliffs of Moher Visitor Centre to Doolin is 7k, mainly downhill, and takes approximately 2.5 hours. If you walk from Doolin to the visitors centre is is uphill so expect 3-3.5 hours.
(4:28) Recommended Visiting Tips for the Cliffs of Moher
Arrive before 11am or after 4pm to miss the heaviest crowds.
Arriving on foot to the visitors centre allows you to miss the congestion of the arrivals gate.

Shuttle begins at 9am and makes its final pick-up at 6:30pm.
The bus runs the full route 6 times each day on a timed schedule.

Due to popularity of the Cliffs of Moher Coastal Walk prebooking your shuttle seat is recommended.
Recommended to shuttle to your starting point and walk back to your car.
The shuttle has 16 seats and wifi.

The most iconic shot of the Cliffs is found between the visitors centre and Doolin.

Pat Sweeny guided Cliffs walk – walk with Pat from Doolin the the morning and take the shuttle back to Doolin
Pat recommends ages 8 and up. Bernard advises age 12 and up, but parents know their children’s abilities.

Doolin Cave in the Burren is home to the longest stalactite in the northern hemisphere. Guided tours and a nice option for a wet or foggy day.
Crookhaven, Cork is a lovely village near Mizen Head, the most southerly point in Ireland. Eat at O’Sullivan’s.
