A couple weeks ago I told you about the Christ Church Christmas Market in Dublin (final market days are this weekend!) and the campaign to restore the belfry. I just heard today that the annual Christmas Concert, featuring the Cathedral Choir, will be held this Thursday, December 15, with profits going toward restoration of the belfry.
Truly there is no better way to celebrate the season than by enjoying Christmas in the magnificent and beautiful setting of Christ Church Cathedral. Singing a wide variety of classic carols and modern favourites, the renowned choir will inspire and entertain, whilst the rousing audience carols will really get you into the Christmas spirit. Festive fun and musical entertainment is guaranteed for all the family. Sing along with old favorites such as O Come, All Ye Faithful, be inspired by glorious choral gems such as Good King Wenceslas and Silent Night, and top it all off by singing some popular and beloved choruses from Handel’s Messiah along with the sterling voices of the Cathedral Choir.
Tickets cost €18 and can be purchased from www.tickets.ie or by calling 0818 333 231. Doors open at 7.15pm and the concert will begin at 8pm.
