St Kevin's Kitchen at Glendalough, Ireland
Glendalough, in the Wicklow Mountains, translates to “Glen of the two lakes”. In the 7th century St. Kevin, a hermit monk, settled in a remote part of the valley. Followed by believers, a monastic colony formed. For 500 years it was one of Ireland's great ecclesiastical foundations and schools of learning.
