Cliffs of Moher, 2002
When I visited in 2002 you could still walk onto the limestone and look over the edge

I have visited Ireland twice in November and both times found the weather to be lovely, if a bit brisk.  One of my greatest memories is laying on the edge of the cliff face, peeking over the edge and down over 700 feet.  Not for the weak of heart!  Though you can no longer get this close to the edge of the cliffs- the area is a protected bird sanctuary, plus it's quite dangerous!- the Cliffs of Moher are breathtaking.

Thinking of taking advantage of the great off season Ireland vacation deals?  A few reasons you should visit Ireland in November and December.

Every time I've visited Ireland a stop at the Cliffs of Moher have been included.  No matter when you visit, the Cliffs of Moher are incredible.
