To wrap up 2012, I wanted to share my 10 most popular posts of the year.  The 5th most popular post was written about a month after I launched Ireland with Kids.

Originally published April 24, 2011, this post shares the beauty of Ireland from A to Z.

Touring Killarney National Park by Jaunting Cart
When in Killarney one of the best ways to tour Killarney National Park is by Jaunting Cart. As you wind through the park take the time to chat with your cart driver to learn local tales.

From Airplanes (the way most tourist travel to Ireland) and Bed & Breakfasts (our family's preferred lodging) to Yarn (from all those fluffy sheep) and the Zoo (in Dublin's Phoenix Park), this article is an A to Z tour of the Emerald Isle.  As a side note:  I'm so glad this post made it to my top 10- it's one of my personal favorites!

Ireland is a perfect destination for families.

No land is more filled with magic than Ireland. Even if you’re past the age of believing in faeries (though I don’t think you should ever stop believing in faeries) the moment your flight lands in Ireland a feeling of possibility washes over you. You just don’t know what could be at the top of those castle towers or at the end of the rainbow.

While many tourism guides make much of pub tours and guided bus travel, Ireland has so much to offer families. From faerie tale castles to magnificent English gardens, wide open spaces to the bustle of international cities, breathtaking natural scenery to man made megalithic structures, Ireland opens her arms and welcomes you to explore her ancient sites, traverse her green fields and discover her treasures.
