Irish Breakfast
The best way to fuel your day of sightseeing is a hearty Irish Breakfast.

The “Full Irish” breakfast may be one of the most loved parts of an Ireland vacation.

A plate filled with fresh Irish meats, a beautiful egg, potatoes or beans served beside hearty brown bread and a steaming cup of tea.

Truly, it is the very best way to begin a day – whether you are in Ireland of at home!

Make a Traditional Irish Breakfast at Home

Also called the “Fry Up,” the traditional Irish breakfast includes eggs, bacon rashers, bangers, black & white pudding, half a tomato, beans or potatoes, brown bread and plenty of strong black tea to wash it all down.

While you may have to search a bit for some of the necessary ingredients to prepare a true Irish Breakfast, it is totally worth the time and effort!

In this post at Type-A Parent, I explain what each bit of the Irish breakfast is, where to find it and even my favorite recipe for Irish Brown Bread.
