In the cloister garth at Jerpoint Abbey, County Kilkenny, Ireland
The cloister garth, an open space surrounded by cloisters, or open walkways, at Jerpoint Abbey is one of the largest such monastic spaces in Ireland. It provided a great place for the girls to play while we explored the grounds.

  1. My kids loved it there!  The visitor’s centre gives you an option of a treasure hunt or a guided tour.  (Both are included with the very inexpensive admission)  The kids had a great time with the hunt.  The docent that was wandering around was very good at answering the kids’ questions.  We eavesdropped on part of a tour and that was excellent too.  Either way you can’t go wrong!

Seems like a really good place for kids..I guess my sons would love it.
