See why this is important.The Lady Chapel at Holy Trinity Abbey Church sits in front of a set of spectacular stained glass windows. The building was once the only Trinitarian Abbey in Ireland, established between 1230 and 1240, the building fell into ruin when Henry VIII dissolved the churches in the 1560s. In 1809 the 2nd Earl of Dunraven restored the ruins and gave the abbey to the Catholic Church.
