Looking Forward to the Music at Milwaukee Irish Fest

I adore a good Irish Festival and though I have been to many, I somehow hadn't made it to the largest Irish Festival in the world- The Milwaukee Irish Fest. That all changes this year.

I've been studying the festival website and am thrilled by the sheer amount of stuff there is to do! The festival includes loads of activities- including a Brian Boru Millennium Celebration, cultural village, marketplace, plenty of family activities, and (of course) fabulous food.

And then there is the music.

Near as I can tell there are 13-15 stages where festival goers can absorb live music. That's a lot of entertainment!

Live Music at Milwaukee Irish Fest

The entertainment line-up was recently announced for Milwaukee Irish Fest and I can tell you, from previous Irish festival experience, that it is a great assortment of bands!

Topping my list to see is We Banjo 3. I've not seen this band perform live before, though my girls and I did have the great experience of hearing Fergal and David perform in a pub in Clifden before We Banjo 3 was ever heard of in the states.

My youngest is thrilled to be able to see Gaelic Storm – her favorite band. She's hoping they play ‘Green Eyes, Red Hair'.

With Creel in Orlando, Florida
My eldest dancing with Creel at Raglan Road in Downtown Disney, Orlando

My eldest is beyond giddy to see Creel again. The last time we saw them was at Raglan Road in Orlando – and they invited her on stage to dance, a great honor, for sure!

And my husband can't wait to see the Red Hot Chilli Pipers perform live again – we've seen them twice in Kansas City and they are incredible!

That is only 4 of the more than 100 musical acts you'll find at Milwaukee Irish Fest.

I'll be wandering the festival grounds with my camera, phone, and a media pass (I'm so very official!), so I'll be grabbing loads of clips, photos, and maybe even a few short interviews if I'm lucky!
