Now, I've never flown Ryanair- but who can miss all the stories about their wild fee structure? And who hasn't watched (and rewatched) the Cheap Flights video on YouTube?
But I have flown Aer Lingus and, honestly, they are my preferred flight provider to Ireland. What I wasn't aware of was that Ryanair already owns nearly 30% of Aer Lingus. And, because the government has agreed to sell their 25% share, if Ryanair purchases those shares and owns more than 30% of Aer Lingus they are are required to bid for 100% of the airline shares.
Take a look at the entire article – linked below. What do you think would happen if Ryanair owned Aer Lingus?
Ryanair, which owns 29.82% of Aer Lingus, intends to make its offer through its wholly owned subsidiary, Coinside Ltd.
