About Shannon Heritage:

Shannon Heritage manages tourism and events at Bunratty Castle, King’s John Castle, Knappogue Castle, Craggaunowen, and Dunguaire Castle in the west of Ireland as well as the GPO Visitor’s Centre and Malahide Castle and Gardens in Dublin.

The mission of Shannon Heritage includes protecting and preserving historic places, creating jobs, and boosting the local economy through tourism.

King John’s Castle:

King John was the brother of Richard the Lionheart. This is during the time period of Robin Hood and the Knights of the Roundtable. You can learn about him and the layers of history at King John’s Castle.

Bunratty Castle medieval banquet runs nightly year-round. Irish Night in the Corn Barn runs less frequently.
Knappogue Castle Medieval Banquet runs from April-October, as does Dunguaire Castle.
