Traveling in Ireland Tours

Have you been searching for an Ireland tour unlike any other?

  • A tour that shows you some of Ireland's most famous places while taking you off the tourist trail for experiences that most visitors to these verdant shores have never heard of?
  • A tour that moves at a relaxed pace and has the flexibility to make changes based on guest input?
  • A tour that is small enough to feel private – but large enough to be affordable?

Unique adventures, warm welcomes, and first-class treatment.

Jody Halsted, host of the Traveling in Ireland podcast and publisher of Ireland Family Vacations, has designed the type of tour she would like to take.

And she is inviting you to join her!

I'd Definitely Go Again!

I so enjoyed everyone that was on our trip and I particularly liked having a small group. Having been on tours before with large busses full of people, I’ll only go with small groups from now on. Much, much better! Every place we visited was delightful. In thinking on all of it, my very favorites were the distillery tour/tasting, and the herding dog demonstration. I’d definitely do the entire trip again, but especially those two things.

First trip to Ireland

Anne and I can not thank Jody enough for making our first trip to Ireland so interesting, fun and memorable. If you want a relaxing, carefree, interesting, informative and fun time I couldn’t think of anyone better than Jody.

Truly enjoyed the experience!

Thank you for the incredible tour! We truly enjoyed the experience! When we visit Ireland again (notice I say “when” not “if”), I will most certainly choose one of your tours.

2025 & 2026 Ireland Tours

Will Be Announced in Spring 2025
Dates: TBD
The Burren, in County Clare, is filled with surprises. Like this colt, its fuzzy winter coat keeping it warm as chilly fall winds blow in from the Atlantic. Ireland Vacation

Due to my father's ill health, I currently don't have plans to host a tour in 2025.
However, if he is doing well in spring 2025 I may consider hosting a solo women's tour in the autumn.

I do plan to host at least 2 tours in spring 2026 – a solo women's trip and a tour that includes walking along the Famine Trail from Roscommon to Dublin – with a possible fall tour of the Celtic Coast, if my schedule allows.

If you would like to take a tour in 2025, I have recommendations below.
